(That’s really tough…

(No, it’s not her real name; I just don’t want to use her username and blow up her Inbox with notifications she doesn’t need to respond to. XD We met on Codebearers.com, a readers’ forum for the Codebearers Series by the Miller Brothers. It’s kind of a dead/dying website, but it was fun while more people were active. Video chat is amazing to be able to use–especially since we live in different states!)

Lightning sparked in Storm’s eyes as her face took on a protective sister-bear type of expression, and it’s possible the hallway lights flickered a little. “Only a fool or monster would stand by as someone else was getting hurt,” she said, each word deliberate and well-enunciated. “Friends don’t let friends come to harm if they have any control in the situation.”
