I reaaaly love where this is going! I also like the idea that the villain and protagonist have some important personality trait in common. I think with the faulty festival stuff, maybe the townspeople were careless and at least some people kind of knew the stuff was a little dangerous…but maybe this is their annual town anniversary celebration which they do exactly the same way EVERY YEAR…and what if the anniversary of the town’s founding is also THE VILLAIN’S BIRTHDAY…just throwing out ideas here but do you guys think that would be a good way to add more significance?

I love the names Joshua and Matthias! Those names are pretty much always in style, I think. Joshua means “Yahweh is salvation” and Matthias means “gift of God”…hey guys, what if the guy who’s bitter about his birthday has a name that means Gift!
