Hey, everyone!
We’re going to start something new, but this completely comes from Rillumen members trying to find ways to bring the guild back to life. No official backing or approval from the guildmasters (yet).

Here is the idea
Every two weeks, we conduct our own mini prompt war and critique sessions with fellow members. Before it officially begins, everyone who is interested posts their “writing plan” for the first week. This will help those who are working through building a writing a schedule to find the times that do and do not work for them, and also provides accountability from guild members. This could look anything from specific times to a generalized amount of time or word count goal for a day. This is meant to help you plan and stick to what works for you, not to compare with others. Each may choose or be paired with a critique partner from the pool of members who participate that round. On the first day of the war, a prompt will be posted for everyone to write something from. At the end of the week, there will be a shared document for everyone to post their final piece. Critique partners will then have the next four days to review their partner’s piece. They may make encouraging and constructive comments, whether that be on the actual document, or as a separate post in the thread. The remaining three days will be open to discussion about the prompt, individual pieces, and/or on the activity itself. We will then have time to make changes to the structure of the activity before we opened it up again with a new prompt!

Critique partners announced by 11:59PM on Saturday, September 28*
Writing submissions by 10AM EST on Sunday, September 29
Critique partner’s work and post comments by 10AM EST on Thursday, October 3

*Note: You are more than welcome to select your critique partner from those participating. A full list will be posted so that partners to not get repeated and those who do not have a pair may be paired with someone.
