Welcome to our first theme discussion!

This week, I’d like to focus on why effectively portraying emotion is important and how emotion affects readers.

If possible, think of one or two instances where you were deeply affected by a story or a scene in a story. How did emotion contribute to the impact? I’d also like for you to find an example of the opposite. Can you think of a  story/scene that didn’t affect you? Did the absence or improper execution of emotion contribute to that lack of connection? Can you list some reasons why efficiently portraying emotion in storytelling is important by reviewing these experiences? Please feel free to post any and all of your thoughts on the subject so we can learn and grow from each other’s answers. 🙂
