@taylorclogston Wow, sounds like a lot on your plate, but sounds like you’re off on a good start, having such a organized plan of what to do.
I’m not sure what to say about finding a “passion.” If you aren’t excited over a project I’m not sure why you should continue. Is there not a character? An aspect? A premise that gets you excited? What was it that first gave you the idea for the story? Return to that and remind yourself why you began writing the story. This happened recently to me and I had to return to my original plot scribblings before I realized why I love the story idea so much. It helped me refocus.
For me, I’ve never really stuck around something I don’t want to, unless it’s out of pure stubbornness. 😛 When I begin feeling tired over a project though, finding someone to get excited over it with me always helps.
As for brain fog I completely understand. It’s hard to focus a lot of the time, and I’ve found that I’m also a verbal processor, so I usually have to talk to something to stay on track and think through things. Whether I talk to the computer screen, my brother, my plants, or the newspaper lying beside me. xD
It helps prevent my mind from wandering (as it often does) and I would suggest it 100%. Unless you’re writing somewhere other than home. 😉
