So, if I understand your thoughts, (correct me if I’m wrong!) you don’t like these kind of characters because you feel like the characters don’t deserve being listened to and the author seems to be acting lazy?

Also, I’m a Latin student and “deus ex machina” means “God from the machine” right? I’m not quite familiar with that phrase, though. Do you mind explaining?
