How old were you when you started writing?

I sometimes joke that I was born as a writer, because I don’t think there was ever a moment that I “started” writing. It just… always was. I knew what I wanted to do, even as a toddler, and I was determined. People would ask my little four-year-old self what I wanted to be when I grew up, expecting me to say ballerina or something, and I would scare them out of their wits by fixing them with my very serious gaze and saying, “I’m gonna be an awthor.”

I began my first “official” book when I was fourteen.

Do you want to pursue a career in writing, or do you write just for fun?

    Well career, obviously.

What are some of your biggest spiritual struggles when it comes to writing?

Remembering that I write for God, and not for myself. I have a tendency to get so caught up in the fulfillment it brings me that I forget it’s ultimately to bring glory to Him.
