    Thanks!

Ohhh, this is awesome! I am actually really glad you are asking me all these questions because it helps me give you specific answers instead of just throwing all my random, convoluted ideas and thoughts at you. 😀😀

To answer your first question: Allison thinks the whole thing is ridiculous…and most of the guys she courts she doesn’t actually develop feelings for. So, all in all there are four guys (not counting Emmons) that court her, and she only “falls in love” with Mr. Carter, who is the last one. So, yeah, hope that answers your question. 😛

Nope, I’ve never read The Hunger Games although my best friend has told me repeatedly how awesome they are. 😉 I have read Eight Cousins and the only Janette Oak books I’ve read were her kids books. (Although I have watched some of the movies based off of her books.)

Yes, Allison loves her parents. She and her father have a really good, healthy relationship. She and Mrs. Moore don’t get along very well, because their personality’s clash, but Allison still respects her and wants to make her happy.

She loves her home so she just wishes she could stay there…she’s laid back, not a very adventurous type. 😀 The town where she lives is small and rural and very close-knit, everybody knows everybody else. It’s quiet and peaceful. Norwalk, where the Hobbs live, is much larger, almost a city. Allison likes her home town better because of the quieter culture.

Okay, about the Mr. Carter and Mr. Emmons:

Allison likes Mr. Carter because he’s kind and gentlemanly and respectful. And because he’s rich and comes from a respected family she would make her mother happy if she married him. Yeah, he’s tall, clean shaven, and she thinks he’s cute…or handsome…whatever. 😛 Unfortunately, he can tend to be a little be arrogant and he doesn’t really care about people socially below him. He’s somewhat self-centered.

As for Mr. Emmons, at first Allison doesn’t like him. He’s just a random guy. And I haven’t entirely figured out yet how she comes to like him…I think it’s something that comes over her gradually. He’s really sweet too, but he’s SUPER reserved…like his introversion is introverted, but that’s basically how he protects himself. His theory is: if I don’t interact with people than they can’t hurt me. He is pretty good looking, he’s shorter than Mr. Carter, dark haired, but his eyes are kinda dull, and he goes around with a completely stoic facial expression.

Mr. Emmons declares his feelings for Allison at some point in the story, but only after he knows that she isn’t with Mr. Carter anymore. And no, Allison didn’t have feelings for Mr. Emmon’s before Mr. Carter showed up.

Mr. Carter doesn’t pay any attention to Mr. Emmons, because he’s of a lower social class than himself. He just out right ignores him. Mr. Carter isn’t mean or disrespectful to Mr. Emmons, as in he doesn’t harm him physically or verbally, he just doesn’t pay him any mind.

And no, Mr. Carter doesn’t know that Mr. Emmons like Allison…Allison doesn’t either for that matter.

Hope that answered you questions! As I said my plot has some big holes, so most of this stuff isn’t set in stone anyway…it can easily change. But hope you can do something with it. 😀
