Alright, sorry I was gone for so long. Unfortunately, I don’t really have the time right now to write the scene where the villain enters the castle. I do, however, have the time to go ahead and introduce him/her/it.
Velnias is a Nephilim like Theseus, and at one point was a friend and mentor of Theseus. In his natural form, Velnias is not a very imposing figure, as he stands only 5 feet 4 inches tall, and weighs around 80 pounds. Velnias is a shape-shifter, however, and as such does not often remain in his natural form. Velnias was the one who started the team of Nephilim that Theseus is a part of, but unfortunately he was captured and brainwashed by the very enemy that he set out to fight against. Since then, Velnias has risen up the ranks of the enemy, and is now their most effective assassin. He is a natural strategist and has an irritating habit of doing exactly what is least expected. Although effectively brainwashed, he still struggles with the idea of killing the other Nephilim, proving that there is still some good in him. Unfortunately, Velnias has killed many of Theseus’ friends and family, leading Theseus to believe that he is truly evil and must be destroyed on sight. Velnias can shape-shift into any type of human or creature, including fantasy creatures such as dragons and unicorns. He has a limited ability to control people’s actions/thoughts, but in most cases those with a strong will can resist him. He is incredibly skilled with almost any weapon, although he prefers not to participate in fair fights, preferring to use assassination techniques whenever possible. He is almost indestructible, because when he shape-shifts his new body is automatically healed, meaning that in order to be killed he must be utterly destroyed before he can shape shift. His final strength is also one of his greatest weaknesses. He carries an old sword which was forged to be wielded by the one who was foretold to overthrow evil. Whenever the sword blade touches bare flesh, it gives its user the ability to see the innermost thoughts and desires of the person that it touches. The sword, however, is semi-conscious and does not wish to be wielded by someone who is evil. Because of this, it has been attempting to show Velnias that he is not being what he was meant to be ever since Velnias was brainwashed.
Sorry if that was confusing. Velnias plays a major role in my story, but my entire first book is pretty much backstory as to how he turned evil. It was really hard to condense all of that into just a paragraph or two. If y’all need any clarification, please just ask.
I plan on writing more either tonight, or this weekend.
