Hey, guys! I host a flash fiction prompt contest on Instagram and more recently Facebook, and I would love for you guys to participate. It’s super simple. The contest lasts six days–two days for each prompt. So, the prompt I posted today will be live today and tomorrow until midnight CST. Then I’ll post a new one on Sunday that will last for two days (and a new one on Tuesday that will last for two days). Some prompts are picture prompts; others are writing prompts. (Today’s prompt is a picture prompt.) You write a story in one hundred words or less based on the prompt and post it in the comments. Then, my judge (in this case Shaina Merrick) and I announce the winners in our Instagram and Facebook stories, and I post the entries on my blog on the final day (which in this case is the 17th). This particular contest is desert-themed because it’s celebrating my Arabic fantasy short story winning second place in the SE short story contest.

Here is the link to my first Instagram prompt: https://www.instagram.com/cassandrahammwrites/

Here is the link to my Facebook author page (Cassandra Hamm, Author), and you can see the prompt on the page (I unfortunately can’t copy the link to the post itself): https://www.facebook.com/Cassandra-Hamm-Author-115520833174106/?eid=ARB6r85-XY6AHqsapX9oeeZRMUnssAyCmUWXld6NeyziIk-DhnG50xzuVphQWyub6-cT_ClYD9bQZPbx

I really hope you choose to participate! It’s been super fun, and I love seeing all the creativity that the prompts spark 😀

@eden-anderson I know you don’t have Instagram and am not sure if you have FB, but I’m tagging you anyway 😉
