“C-Calix,” the boy wheezes as he takes my hand.  “Calix Meir.”

“Nice to meet you.” I smile as I pull him out of the corner.  He nods, hand trembling.  Are you sure you’re ok?

We can talk about that later.  Right now, I have to find Kit.  I glance around the room, a sharp retort suddenly catching my attention.  Kit’s standing in front of the door, vehemently bickering with a mean looking blonde girl.  Seriously?  Now, of all times? 

I groan, and turn to Calix.  “That’s Kit, with the pink hair. He’s a good friend of mine.  I guess he’s busy right now, but I’ll introduce you once he’s done.”
