Why do I re-read books?

Characters first and for most. The books needs to make me feel and that’s primarily character sparked emotions. They can be cute and make me happy. There can be trials that I empathise with. Witty dialogue. Peril that feels real. A plot that isn’t stupid. Characters I just want to be around.

Also cool setting stuff. But a cool setting does nothing without its characters. A setting is a big part of the atmosphere of a story, but character emotions can change how a setting feels.

I’ve read Wayfarer. I remember liking it. I probably won’t read it again either.
