Wen’s not very good at actual interaction with people who don’t resent her for her dragon, blood, and power, and aren’t trying to kill her. A battle might chill her out a little. The pride’s a bit of a defense mechanism. Eltar’s a bit better at social interaction(he was a diplomat for some time), but is definitely somewhat proud as a defense mechanism(his father’s.. odd). So they’re difficult to deal with. I apologize for their seeming antagonism.
