I’m not sure about breaking the 4th dimension though, because I know I did that with my first novel and honestly, that ruined it.
I beg to differ. 😉
@emily-d @rebecca-w I like the name Bryka, too. Maybe she should be in her upper-teens?
@evelyn @coggleton I don’t think it’s set in the Parimi Alca world, since there are different planets. Awesome ideas, though. 😀
He says what he thinks because he doesn’t know that most people don’t. It’s really funny to watch, actually. He’ll say the most random and nicest things, so what if we made a character like that?
I like that idea. Maybe one of the characters Bryka meets could be like that? Or maybe she could be sort of like that…
Okay, so far this is what we have:
Sci-fi genre story, theme is hope. MC called Bryka, a girl who grew up on a war-torn planet where sadness and depression are the norm. She makes her way to an unbroken planet and mimics the lightheartedness of the people she finds there, though an occasional bit of dark humor can slip out.
Referring to Cassie’s idea for the plot, I would suggest beginning the story with the threat coming to the unbroken planet and stirring up some old memories in her mind about her past. Continue on from there, with her telling everyone what she knows about the threat and showing them how to defend or protect themselves.
What should the threat be? I would guess it’s the same thing that caused her home planet to become the way it was. A conquering army? Civil war? Something to do with the planet’s atmosphere? What if her home planet was consumed by literal darkness, as well? Like the atmosphere was polluted as a result of a war, and the people had to learn to survive in the new environment, like a dystopian world?
