@karthmin No problem! This was the first snippet of your writing that I had read, so I didn’t know all that stuff. 🙂

I have an idea, but feel free to throw it out. I’ve been reading LotR for the first time ever, and I just finished The Fellowship. I’ve also been playing the Wii game with my brother, so I know the general storyline. Anywhoo, all that to say, you know how the ring sorta controls people? It reminds me of how the dragons manipulate emotions. It might be hard to do in first person, but maybe you could do something like that. Where it’s a bit more clear that an outside source is causing the emotion. Like how the ring urges Frodo to put it on or how Biblo hesitated to leave it with Gandalf. I hope that made sense! 😀
