“I believe this is Ackenno Forest…” Kallun muttered. He could practically smell its magic.
He glanced around the trees. They were queer. Large trunks with almost black bark, smooth like bamboo, but gigantic like an old sequoia. It’s leaves were leaves and needles combined, dark green but with an odd blue tint that seemed to glow. Apart from the blue glow, it was dark, for the large branches spread like humongous arms and covered the sky, blocking out the sun.
(I had fun with that XD)

Kallun’s tapered ears twitched, sensitive to the strange sounds coming from around them.

Suddenly he pulled his sword from  its sheath. He stood at the ready, trying to search the shadows of the  thick wood.
He glanced at his companions. “We are not alone.”
