Hmmm…

Rainan wants to earn his mother’s love, and is willing to do anything to earn it. Back when he was a small child, he contracted an outrageously high fever in midwinter, and his father left to go look for medicine and was never seen again, which is why his mother doesn’t love him as much as his younger brother, or at least acts that way. Rainan doesn’t remember this bit of his history, he just feels confused and hurt.
