I’M GOING TO TRY AND STAY BACK THIS TIME.

Her head felt like it was going to implode and Lupa squeezed her eyes closed, waiting for the feeling, the rushing, the MADNESS to leave her alone.

Things fell still and she sucked in a breath of stale air. Her ears were greeted by a groaning noise of creatures–animals. She opened her eyes and took in the room.

Four lanterns hung above four cages in the four corners of the room, shedding little light. But darkness was her domain. The shadows didn’t bother her.

She was faintly aware of the other people doing something behind her but she blocked them out, surveying the cage.

There must be one I can get into. She mused, noting the doors beyond the bars.

A low growl in the closest cage beckoned her near to it. “Hello.” She whispered, stepping closer and taking in the creature trapped inside. It was covered in fur the color of storm clouds with pointed ears and a long muzzle. It was huge and its yellow eyes met her’s as it bent its head down to inspect her back.

“You feel it,” Lupa murmured holding her hand close to the bars so the giant wolf could sniff it.

It whined quietly, circling in the cage.

“I know,” she let the fur cover her skin, her body changing till she to was a wolf with thick, mottled golden fur. “We’re the same. And I’m leaving these losers behind.” she nodded her muzzle to the others who were crowded around a fallen companion.

The wolf cocked its head, its gaze darting from the fallen man to her, and back.

“Frankly, I don’t care about that guy.” Lupa blinked unsympathetically. “Now,” she pushed her head against the bars. “How do I get in here and let you–such a beautiful creature–free?”

Idk if you want someone to see Lupa or wait till she somehow escapes and everyone else follows her.
