    Lorcan

Lorcan glared at the boy and girl who had just fallen from the sky, squinting through the clouds of dust. He gripped his swords firmly, but in a way that looked casual. He was making sure that they could see them. His father always said to be cautious when making a statement to others. Never look like you want to start a fight. Always look as though you are capable of winning one. And always give the impression that you would not allow the others to escape with their lives.

“Greetings, friends and enemies,” the girl said. Lorcan raised an eyebrow at her assertiveness.

“I’m Sahar, nice to meet you,” she said chirpily. She wore an odd looking headscarf, Lorcan noted. Part of her culture perhaps. Then she flipped her knife in her hand and climbed onto a boulder, as if to look around. Not that there was anything to see of course.

”Well its lovely to make your acquaintance,” Lorcan drawled. “Sorry to be the one to break this to you but you have just ended up on a one way trip to a place known as hell. Which you are in right now. So I wouldn’t be so chirpy if I were you human.”

He strode forward a few steps and looked them over. Definitely human judging by their size, appearance and the levels of carbon dioxide they were emitting. Even with the girl on the boulder, he towered over them.

”They call me the Phantom Ranger,” he said. “But seeing as we’re all going to be living together in eternal suffering, you may call me Lorcan.”
