@this-is-not-an-alien oooh looks like we have a new bit of drama in here! I believe that Meira has some stiff competition, but since said competition will never admit that, I think she’s safe for now 😉
Which reminds me – I should probably get Saskia into one of these castles sometime. Preferably one that doesn’t have the Shrike lol
“Eh?” Meira tilted her head. “I am a blinking nice person to meet…‘cept when I ain’t!” Sasha raised his eyebrows as she giggled maniacally. She rubbed her knuckles across her chin, gazing at him intently. “You ‘most always be a nice person to meet?”
Am I?
I suppose that depends on who you ask.
Not to the shocked technicians who first discovered him hiding near the reactors, and most definitely not to the countless would-be saboteurs he’d scared off since. Had there ever been a time when he had been a nice person to meet?
Well, Skia at least seemed to think so, at one time.
He shifted uncomfortably.
“I hope so – at least I try to be.” He shifted uncomfortably.
Lies.
Although, did Spire really count? It’s difficult to be a nice person to meet when an entire city is howling for your blood.
Surely he had been nice and agreeable in this alternate reality, at least.
And what do I have to show for that?
Another attempt on his life, it would seem.
He felt a sharp tug at his coat sleeve. The goose, of course.
Persistent fellow. He sighed.
Meira seemed nice, though. Surely she wasn’t enjoying her stay any more than he was. Had someone attempted to kill her as well?
“Are you enjoying this place?” He looked up at her hesitantly. “I…I could get you out of here, if you want.” A hint of a smile tugged at his lips.
It felt good being nice to meet.
