Grimme considered a for a long, long moment.

The Castle claimed she could remove her intangibility.

    What were the repercussions?

Would her invisibility last longer?  Become permanent?

Could Oaken Door actually pull apart her powers, at random.

Maybe the augmentations.  No.  It seemed to be only the augmentations.  Her natural gifts – Knowing, for example – were likely as safe as the talents of the other unfortunate souls trapped with her.

Or else… they were also potential victims.  Anything that made them who they were ready to be snatched away at a moment.

Grimme lightly bounded to the wall, eyes encompassing the room.  The humming pressure deep in her brain, her eyes glinting blue.

Had anyone even picked a door yet?  Gone through it?  Actually tried to chase that goose? They were all in the same room, divided admittedly, even in their own groups.

Grimme smirked, stood up, and touched the right door.

    Tangible.

With a frown, she breathed deeply, pressing her fingers deep into the wood.

Darkness meant nothing to her – her natural ability saw everything – part of her Knowing.

And she Knew that many murders were being plotted at this moment.

Almost impulsively, she twisted the doorknob and sprinted into the hall.  She spun around, the battle-ax at ready, her heel dug into the floor, and she announced loudly…

“Take a single, solitary step towards me while these lights are out, and I will murder you.”

Are you entertained Castle?  Are you really ready for the consequences of crossing me?

Miles away, creaking and twitching, The Warning and Message stirred.

Thousands of legs pushed, the crustacean monstrosity lifted, and the dulled eyes stared.

Swaying deep in it’s empty heart, a mountain twisted, falling deeper inside, the ruined castle standing in stark relief in the moonlight.

    Uncoordinated, lurching, moaning…

    …and most certainly coming…
