Thanks! That really helps, though I chose not to have him rape her…I just wasn’t sure how that would work out but she is going to break up with him…I’ll add a part of the story to show the reason why…

Finally Steve broke the silence. “Selina, I love you a lot.”

She shifted uncomfortably, not sure what to think about this declaration, but made herself agree with him.

“I li-love you too.”

Oh why did you agree with him? You don’t really love him. Do I? Ugh, I don’t know anymore.

Selina could feel him let out a breath.

“Darlin’, I care about you so much and want to be able to show you.”

Selina was shocked, and instantly pulled away, disgusted.

She held up her hand, showing Steve a ring on her ring finger.

“Steve, I promised to God to stay pure and I don’t want to have to take off this ring until my wedding day. I don’t know exactly if that’s what you mean, but my mind is telling me so. I limit my physical contact to hugging and kissing and I admit I probably shouldn’t kiss, especially someone I just met a month ago.”

Steve held up a hand. “Whoa, easy Selina. I didn’t know how you felt about this stuff.”

“I’m not a horse,” Selina spat, “don’t whoa me.”

I saw once I posted this post that it wouldn’t be categorized as romance but coming of age, but still thanks for the help everyone! I am pleased to say though that I now have a real romance book started!
