Kylie Wingfeather started the topic Ending of the Wingfeather Saga (SPOILERS) in the forum Fantasy Writers 5 years, 4 months ago
So, as anyone who knows me will tell you, I adore The Wingfeather Saga. I first read it two/three years ago and didn’t re-read it. Then, during the whole COVID-19 lockdown this year, Andrew Peterson started reading them aloud, and I re-discovered it. Now anyone who has read ALL of the four books (On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness, North! Or Be Eaten, Monster In the Hollows, and the Warden and the Wolf King) knows the tragic-but-so-amazingly-beautiful ending. The sacrifice, the ‘human-izing’ (yes, I made a word up) of the fangs, the mention of the Well, and… the cliffhanger. The annoying, frustrating, kind-of-smart cliffhanger that leaves you to decide for yourself whether Janner Igiby Wingfeather comes back to life, or stays with the Maker. I know a lot of people have read this amazing book series, and I was wondering:
What are your thoughts on the ending of The Wingfeather Saga?
