And My Lady Jane is a comedic retelling of the story of Lady Jane Grey, who was queen of England for nine days. From what I understand, it is not serious in the slightest; indeed, one of the characters is a shapeshifting horse. There are other books in the series about other famous Janes, but that’s the only one that interests me.
