@the-golden-light The Ted Dekker books (The Lost Books series and the Circle) are really good imo, but the Circle series books can get a little mature, especially Green, in terms of romantic content. Nothing totally horrible if you don’t mind half-page smooches, but I wouldn’t let my fourteen-year-old kid read Green. The other three are fine, though, though some romantic content is still there but only because it’s kinda necessary for the books to point to God. And you’re not really missing anything if you don’t read Green, because it’s not entirely necessary to the series.
The Lost Books were intended especially for young adults, but per Ted Dekker, there is some young romance involved, and the last two books are kinda weird…
But I do recommend the Paradise trilogy by Ted Dekker. A word of warning, however, that Showdown, the first book, gets dark. Like, Stephen King dark. The other two are great, but you may literally have nightmares if you read Showdown. But it’s kinda necessary to understand the other two books, so Ted kinda pulled a joke on us there. But yeah, Dekker’s a great writer, but he can get a little adult in content but not really dirty. Just some stuff that young teens may not want to read.
Also, The Cloak of Light, Rise of the Fallen, and The Light of the Last, all by Chuck Black. It took him about twelve books to figure out how to write, but he did it eventually.
