    Name: Erin Shadows

    Age: 23

Appearance: Her mother was European and her father Asian, making her split between the looks. Black hair, dark brown eyes, average build, olive skin, 5’3.

About: She is the captain of a custom built starship and a crew of 38. Her occupation is top of security for the intergalactic trade system and mainly raids smugger HQs, leaving the boring parts of the job to the lower ranks. Her parents died when Earth was attacked in 3018 and is still search for her brother 18 years later in 3035, convinced he is alive. She is very strict and easily irritated, allowing all in her past to define her, rather than being who she really is. She can only seem to see the mistakes of her loyal and professional crew and dislikes being questioned. She is a leader to the bone, mildly introverted, and very good at poetry.

    ———

Erin glared at the man across from her. She jabbed at his jaw with a punch of lighting speed, sending him staggering back, but not to the floor.
“Come on, Kias Aquaro, time for us both to go home.” She called, dodging a side kick from her opponent.

Kias gritted his teeth and blocked another of Erin’s punches. “Ah ah, your staying here,” He grunted as he locked arms with Erin trying to wrestle her to the ground. “You’d make a beautiful hostage, being friends with Kami and all.”

Erin broke from his grip and spun around, throwing a kick into Kias’ thigh. He crumpled to the ground with a muted gasp.

Erin readied herself for him to get to his feet, knowing the gangster would only be down for a few seconds, and tried to caught her breath. She spied her pistol at the far end of the room and prepared to dive for it when the voice of her commander echoed down the concrete hall to her left, along with the sounds of gunshots and cries of victory…and pain.

    “We’ve defeated them!” He called.

The pride of the victory made the captain drop her guard a second to long. Kias sprung at her as her commander appeared through the doorway.

Kias’ fist knocked her to the ground and Erin dimly saw commander Sander’s claws swipe dangerously at Kias before she slipped into unconscious.

Erin was awake, but her eyes remained closed. Her head throbbed as she tried to sort out in her mind what was going on around her. This wasn’t sick bay. If it was, she would be covered in a warm blanket, a computer would be quietly beeping in the background, and she would be lying on something soft.

But she wasn’t in sick bay.

The ground was hard, cold, and smelt unpleasant. Voices seemed to whisper in the dank air.

Erin drew a shuddering breath and opened her eyes. It was dark. Stone walls surrounded her and deep shadows covered her, cast by the flickering lanterns around the corner.

She drew herself up against the wall and examined herself for injuries and weapons. Her pistol was back at the fight scene, but her rifle was still slung across her back and her electric knife was holstered at her hip.

The only injures were a few bruises and the throbbing in her head. Standing up and propping herself against the wall, Erin checked her gray jumpsuit for tears.

None. Good, that meant the built in equipment probably still worked.

Erin swore under her breath when she noted her earpiece was gone and her wristwatch was smashed. No communicating the Comet. Maybe they could still track her suit.

Obviously this was where Kias was keeping her hostage. Time to escape.

Unslinging her rifle, she inched around the corner, visor down to scan for anything dangerous on the surrounding walls are floor, and listened for voices.

She heard some and moved closer.
