(Ooh, a murder mystery party would be awesome! I’m writing mine for a play some kids from my homeschool group are doing (though it’s not associated with the homeschool group). The play is radio-themed, with on-air events and off-air events, and my murder mystery is the audio drama portion of the radio program. It’s definitely fun–I adore the characters and their eccentric personalities–but it’s also rather stressful trying to finish it at a decent time, and when I’m perfectionistic about it and anxious as to whether it meets all the standards it should. Storm sat with a sigh, staring at the colorful patterns of the palace floor. “Scared, hurt, confused… Lost. Wanting to curl up by yourself far from everyone else and just let everything end already.” Unbidden tears began to well as she remembered those dark times, times she had only recently just escaped–and then only barely. “It feels permanent at the time. But every storm must pass, every night must end. The dawn will rise again, brighter and more beautiful than ever before, and the sun will shine all the clearer. That doesn’t mean everything will be sunshine and rainbows, because you’ll never completely forget… But the night won’t have to control you. You won’t have to live in fear.”
