My brother broke his collar bone, so did my sister. It’s very painful, but it’s not too bad as long as you take car of it. My brother was sent home with a sling and some pain meds from the ER, and that’s all. He couldn’t do anything strenuous for a long time with it, but it wasn’t life threatening. I’m no expert on it however, I’d definitely check the Mayo Clinic.
