@k-b-writer Those are all cool ideas! I think they’re unique and wouldn’t sound like just any other mystery. Another thing we could try is starting it out like your typical Sherlock Holmes knock-off and then throwing in a crazy twist that turns everything upside-down–like the sidekick accidentally discovering that the detective is the culprit but having no idea why or how the much smarter and more experienced detective would do such a thing. And then the sidekick would have to keep up the act of an innocent helper long enough to figure out what was going on…

Anyway, that’s just rambling about an idea, but I also think that could easily work with the vanishing woman idea, if it doesn’t contradict ideas you’ve already had for that story. I’d be willing to write it too, but I don’t mind if you want to. I thought you did a great job with the other one you wrote and I’m not so great at staying within a word limit. 🙂
