Peggy’s forehead stuck to the seat in front of her as she felt the plane lurch in a direction it should not be going. All she could hear was the loud thump thump thump against her chest as the air around her seamed to thicken.

The little girl. She thought, got to help…

Peggy reached up as far as she could, remembering the safety procedures her fingers felt warm and slippery, but they managed to clasp the mask above her.

Just… like… Amelia…

The yellow mouthpiece seemed to wave in front of her.

Apparently, it’s not as easy to put on a breathing mask when the plane is hurtling towards the earth.
