Hey everyone!

I’m reminded of a comic about depression in which the author (who was telling a true story) was experiencing a dark moment in the kitchen floor and then saw a kernel of shriveled corn under the fridge and… laughed. Like ridiculously hard! That stupid piece of corn, stuck under the fridge! It can’t move! It just stayed there and dried up, that poor, pitiful old corn kernel! Lol 😆 apparently that laughter was the turning point for the author, because it was the first time she felt emotion again.

Anyway, I don’t want to *use* that story of course, but it could serve as inspiration. Someone who is trudging through a dark time of life, maybe a funeral or if it’s very dark, weighing suicide, and finding the ittiest bit of joy in a random little thing for the first time. I wouldn’t feel comfortable writing this perspective because I have not done adequate research in depression, but someone more familiar could do it.
