What I read- Thrawn by Timothy Zahn. This is a great piece of Star Wars fiction. Though I was a little confused by some of the plot twists, it was nice getting a look inside Thrawn’s head.

I also read For Love and Honor by Jody Hedlund and The Healer’s Apprentice by Melanie Dickerson. Unless you’re really into the historical romance genre, I wouldn’t recommend reading these two.

What I wrote- I did a lot of editing on my first book. I’ve had to cut out large portions and add new ones to make the story flow better. Now I’m about three-quarters of the way through. I’m still focusing on character motivations. (For instance, why did that one character decide to help the MC after being her enemy all this time? After mulling over my conspiracies I finally have an answer to that question.)

What I learned- Some stuff about whitewash and the American War for Independence. This, too:

Other stuff- Some of my friends are forming a group to do NaNoWriMo in July. Hopefully I’ll be joining them. *thumbs-up*
