@jane-maree To be honest, I’m actually currently thinking about my purpose for writing (gotta love those writing-identity-type of crises, right? XP). I’ve been writing since I could form halfway coherent sentences on the page, and telling stories orally before that. At some point writing has become a chore–don’t get me wrong, I love brainstorming (it’s the best part, after all)–but actually writing isn’t as fun sometimes (mainly on the first draft where I have no idea what’s going on even though I overthink everything *facepalm*). I think the main reason I started writing is because I love Story, and want to produce it somehow (though I’m still trying to find my passion and voice and all that jazz). Story is beautiful because of how it can reflect real life and glorify God, and that’s why I love it. Anyways, all that to say I want to write to glorify God and to help people (though I can’t necessarily put into words exactly how I want to help people through writing).
