@i-david I like it! I have a couple thoughts:

1. We need to make sure “you,” the protagonist, is a unique, developed character. I think we need a very specific focus here that both defines who the character is and causes his failure in the story. Maybe within the theme of “fighting against sin, temptation, and the devil” we could really focus on one smaller aspect of the fight?

2. I don’t know if you guys will like this idea or not, but there have been a whole lot of allegories (including mine lol) that use mideval-esque imagery, so what if we did something different for this one? Like sci-fi? Or ancient Roman? Or steampunk Victorian England? That could make it more fun (and challenging) for us to write, as well as more unexpected and eye-catching for contest purposes.
