    @chalice Hyperrealism is art! I, for the most part, agree with what was already said. The left side of the brain is geared for symbols, logic and math, while the right side likes art and color, etc. We train ourselves all our lives to see the symbols (numbers and letters), so as artist, we start out struggling to get away from symbols (e.g. stick figures, drawing outlines, etc.) For those artists who can draw realisticly, and especially hyperrealisticly, are able to see what is really there and not just the lines.  If you consider creativity as making something that doesn’t already exist, then yeah, hyperrealism is not super high on that rating chart. But if you realize that seeing and translating what is really there is really hard, then those individuals who can, are gifted and have put a TON of effort into what they do. (if that at all makes sense) 🙂 hope that helps
