@taylorclogston Ooh, I understand the feeling of not wanting to write. It’s tough to get through that. 🙁 Something similar happened to me recently, when I hit a block and couldn’t make myself write on my current project. I had to switch projects completely in order to restart my creative “colors.”
@evelyn That quote of your brother’s is sad yet true. I relate very much.
What I read- Lily’s Crossing by Patricia Reilly Giff. It’s a historical fiction book set in America during World War II, told from the point of view of a girl called Lily Mollahan. I recognized the author because I read Pictures of Hollis Woods many years ago, and this book looked interesting. I grew to like the characters as the story progressed, but I wouldn’t really recommend it. I reread Cannons at Dawn, pretty much the only decent Dear America book. Just today I read Hope Ann’s new short story “Heroes Fall” and I highly recommend it. It’s my favorite of her stories so far. (Check it ouuut > https://authorhopeann.com/claim-your-copy-heroes-fall/ ) For school, I read “The Open Boat” by Stephen Crane and “The Law of Life” by Jack London. Neither of them had satisfactory endings.
I’m currently reading The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas and a book on Calvinism by Dave Hunt. 😛
What I wrote- Just a few things. I almost finished the Aetherlight fanfiction. The Adventures of a Traveling Salesman now spans over 100 pages, so I’d say it’s getting there. Another thing was a poem for Fire Moon. I’m also in the middle of a major edit of one of my books. I’m working to cut out unnecessary parts, and right now I’m wondering where my brain was when I wrote half of this…
What I learned- Erm…well, a lot more about coffin births than I ever wanted to know.
Other stuff- Studying so much. Things are getting crazy, guys. I also have anisometropia, or so the optometrist said.
