Eero dimly saw the two silhouetted figures ahead of him. One was leaning against a tree, the other sitting. “Who’s there?” one of the figures called. The one standing, Eero thought. She? Yes, she. She sounded tired. They probably didn’t want to attack him, but you couldn’t be too sure. It might have been an act.

“Hello!” Eero called back. “My name’s Eero. Who are you?” Eero’s hand went to his poisoned dagger, just in case. “I don’t mean to attack you. I have no idea how I got here in the first place. Do you… know where this is?”
