Shara cocked her head. “Huh. Does it enhance your senses or strength or something?” Nope. Not like anything she’d ever seen before. Although that was to be expected. After all, she’d only visited a small handful of dimensions compared to the great number of them that there was total.

“I mean there are no Nazis here. You’re fine.” Sharv smiled.  “No one here’s going to mess with you. Although I still don’t know where here is.” He muttered the last sentence. Then he returned his attention back to the guy in front of him.

“Look at what?” Sage sat up, spotting her phone and earbuds next to her and sweeping them into her pocket in the process. Then she saw what Tyler saw. “Whoa…” No wonder the ground was so warm. There were rivers of lava crisscrossing everywhere just a little farther down. They were on a large ledge in the side of… what was probably a volcano. But they weren’t very high up. Which was a relief. Although still high enough to worry Sage. “Now what do we do?” She barely managed to keep her voice from shaking. At least there weren’t any lava monsters or something attacking yet.

(They’re almost at the base of the volcano.)
