Lol I’m a little late, but oh well.
As for my stories themselves, I tend to always have at least one favorable character who has a lot of similar traits to myself. I love writing characters the most of all, and I love writing tension between characters– it’s especially fun if one is tryna be friendly and the other just hates them. XD
I also really love coming up with cool ways to make the beginning and ending lines of things I write somehow come like “full circle” and relate to/reflect each other. Endings are super important to me and I like them to be just perfect.
Finally, uh, I love killing people– I mean, characters– that I care about. Because I know if I care about them, my audience hopefully will, to some degree, and killing characters who are cared for is heartbreaking and satisfying at the same time.
Like other people have said, I love listening to music. Tbh, I don’t listen to that much instrumental music, but when I do, it’s usually scores from films (by Michael Giacchino, John Williams, Howard Shore, Alan Silvestri, and the likes). I can focus just as well to lyrical music, especially if I’ve heard it a lot. Some of my favorite artists to listen to while writing are Elbow, Radiohead, Coldplay, and “old Imagine Dragons”.
I can relate to @maddiejay in that no matter if I’m writing or otherwise, whenever I listen to music or use my computer, I am always adjusting the brightness (and also the volume). I have a thing for even numbers, so I always have to make my volume and brightness bars an even number of bars.
