Let me just say that I am SO excited you all are beginning the poeter’s journey. 😀

Main things that helped me were reading expert’s poetry, reading friend’s poetry, and being transparent.  What I mean by that is letting others read and tear apart your work.  It’s hard because sometimes poetry’s really personal, but it’s always worth it. 🙂
