@happyholly_c, I live by a handful of rules and one of them is “Never Ever apologize for reading middle grade.”  I made a solemn vow and a pinky promise to that effect.

Also, I hadn’t heard of “The Explorers” but anyone who ends a book like that has a narrative voice I’m down for.  I’ll have to look into it.

And will we be doing another Character Dev lounge?  YES.  I wanted to get out of the holiday break (and I’m actually gonna be out of town this week) but yes soon we’ll have another lounge bc the first one was so much fun.
