Ohhhhhh yes. I’ve had to deal with it numerous times in the past 3 years or so. Two out of the seven-ish friends I’ve tried to make/keep in touch with in that time (which I know is not a lot, but I’m terrible at initiating conversations and relationships; I’m trying to work on it) have stuck around more than a year, despite repeated attempts on my part to revitalize conversations. It’s extremely discouraging.
