Thatโ€™s a solid definition of family. ๐Ÿ™‚ I think God designed the Church specifically for teaching and for families. A lot of believers donโ€™t have Christians in their biological family, but members from their church often come alongside them, and take them under their wing. Yay for solid churches that teach the truth and live by it. Even though I have a loving family, I am very attached to my church, which is part of my loving family as well.

I agree. I’m blessed with a really great Christian family, even a good amount of extended family, and the extended Church just adds to that. ๐Ÿ™‚

My family actually hasn’t been able to find a good church home for years. ๐Ÿ˜› I was in a youth group for about four years as of December, but it also stopped doing its job so I decided to leave. The best church family I have is cobbled together from Story Embers, a handful of people from another Christian writing group, and camp. Camp is an amazing church in every way except that it’s only one week out of the year, lol. The people are all really uplifting, the preachers dig deep into the scripture instead of dumbing it down because the students are young, the worship is genuine instead of put on like a performance. It’s just really wonderful as a church and I wish it was year-round, lol. Or that I lived close enough to one of the main involved churches that I could go there every week. ๐Ÿ˜›

Unfortunately, none of the churches I’ve been to have hit all those bases (strong community, strong teaching, genuine worship) since my family was forced to leave our last church. (Long story.) I need to start praying again that we’d find someplace new that can provide a healthy, growth-inspiring church atmosphere.
