I think I need a lot of that, personally.
I joke around a lot about how I have a thousand WIPs and how I can never get anything done, and in reality, it’s funny because it’s true.
I’m horrible at prioritizing things and doing what needs to be done. Part of the problem is laziness, but I think another thing is that I just can’t motivate myself to do the things that really matter. I’m distracted easily . . .
Don’t get me wrong, I hate giving up. I would never fully abandon something, but this doesn’t equal consistency at all. And my projects and people who count on me end up suffering. Well, not just them, I suffer from my own problems haha. I end up getting discouraged when people start getting ahead and doing things that I could’ve done only because I didn’t have the resolve to just get up and do it myself earlier. And sometimes this spurs me a little bit, but never for long.
Maybe there’s a bigger problem I’m unaware of; I wouldn’t know. But whatever it is, if you guys could just pray for me to overcome whatever’s stopping me from using the talent I have in not just writing but other things in life, in a way that fully uses the God-given gift of Time; that’d be great. Also, advice would be great too haha. I know it’s always one of my yearly goals, but I still really want to finish a novel this year. I’m hoping that 2019 will finally be “that year”. Here’s to doing that before all the New Year mojo wears off haha.
