Great ideas on the colors, everybody! All this talk of royal blue and gold made me think of lapis lazuli, which is a semiprecious stone of those colors. Apparently it also symbolizes wisdom and truth, so that’s cool. I thought it might be inspiring. 😛 The gold flecks are pyrite inclusions, if my memory serves. Here’s what it looks like:

@gracelivingston “Words and names have colors to me so I love choosing color schemes for places & characters.” Ahhh, bittersweet memories! I used to have a friend who was the same way, but with people and other things too. She said I was light yellow. XD
