Okay. It’s been a while since I’ve read them because I was going to read them again and then me being me I got distracted by other books so hopefully I remember this all correctly.

So the order is, Dragons in our Midst come first, then Oracles of Fire, then Children of Bard. EXCEPT the very first book in the Oracles of Fire series, Eye of the Oracle, comes before Dragons in our Midst because Davis just wanted to confuse everyone. (Not really, it’s the prequel.) And now I will actually attempt to tell you about them. -takes deep breath- Here goes nothing.

Eye of Oracle basically starts everything. It begins with Lilith and Naamah. They’re at the Garden of Eden. And then it introduces Samyaza (I’m pretty sure that’s the right name) who is Lilith’s husband. Samyaza is the leader of the fallen angels and he and Lilith work for Lucifer aka Satan. Then there’s the ark. Which they try to destroy. It fails obviously. AND THERE ARE DRAGONS. AWESOME DRAGONS. Ahem. Who are on the ark. And there’s the Nephilim, who are giants they help Samyaza. Then after the flood it has the Tower of Babel. And it’s utter chaos. And there’s Mara who becomes Saphira Adi. She’s one of the Oracles. And she’s also AWESOME. And Elam. Who’s Noah’s grandson. God, who is called Elohim a lot, basically redeems Saphira. I think that’s the right word, redeems. And then there’s a whole lot of adventure, including the time of King Arthur. And then Merlin turns the dragons into humans. And then the dragon turned humans have children. And the children have dragon abilities it’s awesome!!! And so then this dragon slayer named Devin start hunting the human turned dragons down. Then their children because… yeah. And there’s a lot more stuff happening which comes over into Dragons in our Midst.

So there’s Bonnie, who has DRAGON WINGS. And Billy, WHO CAN BREATHE FIRE. And several more children of dragons with abilities. -cough- Like Ashley and Gabriel. -cough- And Walter who is a descendant of King Arthur. His heir. And he can wield the sword who’s name I cannot remember. Is it Excalibur? It might be Excalibur. Excalibur is AWESOME. It has special abilities too. AND OH YEAH THE CANDLESTONE. Devin has the candlestone which is a weapon against dragons. And Bonnie and Billy and Walter go on a whole bunch of adventures over the course of the series. (I can’t remember what goal they start off with it’s annoying.) They (they as in either or both) go to Sheol. And some other cool but strange other dimensional places. And DRAGONS. And Devin, and Lilith who now calls herself Morgan. And a bunch of other stuff happens. And they meet Saphira at some point. I think not until Oracles of Fire though. So moving on to that series.

Saphira and the dragons’ children all go on many harrowing adventures. And so the dimensions. So there’s the 7 circles which is Sheol. And there’s Hell. (Who… Walter maybe? [Kinda spoiler alert] visits at some point. It’s not gory or anything though. And it doesn’t describe pain in great detail or anything. Basically it’s red. And there is a lake. Of fire. And a person gets thrown in it. The person deserved it though so I personally am not shedding any tears over the matter.) And Heaven. And the… I forget what it’s called so Ima gonna call it the green place for now. It bridges Earth and Heaven and I think Sheol too. There’s a garden. And a floating hospital. And Abraham. (Not the one from the Bible. Different one.) And they have to prevent everything all clashing into each other and becoming one place and really bad stuff happening.

And then… in Children of the Bard. It’s about the kids of the kids of the dragons turned humans. And they also have powers. REALLY COOL POWERS. But… the government has found out about the dragons’ kids. So they’re under “observation”. Blech. It’s bad. So then the dragons’ kids’ kids have to go rescue their parents and save the world from… something that I can’t recall at this moment.

And underlying it all is God. Bonnie is a very firm Christian. And there’s redemption arcs. And some of the characters trust and faith in God is super inspiring! (Like Bonnie and Saphira and a whole bunch of other people.) So it’s strange and kinda weird but very inspiring and AWESOME all around.

So there we go. -hopes it all makes sense and wasn’t just random ramblings of a fan and wasn’t too spoiler-y- -finally breathes again-
