I personally really enjoy @libby ‘s idea, and I think that would go absolutely perfect with the creepy/scary direction we’re going for. End of the world dream. One that is particularly unnerving, perhaps the world even ends in a backwards sort of way that doesn’t seem like it would actually happen in real life. I remember once, I had a dream that the Joker from Batman was riding around on a bicycle announcing the end of the world, which was… absolutely terrifying. o-O Maybe not that creepy, but something along those lines perhaps. Something that’s just kind of bits and pieces of life, stories, and whatnot jumbled together into some odd soup of dreamness.
I think the main character should be a girl. (: It seems like it would be easier that way considering most of us are girls. Plus, girls are probably more afraid of certain things than boys are, so it’d be good to write from experience. Also, there should be people who don’t look anything like themselves (this has happened to me in my dreams numerous times, in which I address someone as my brother or something and they look nothing like any of my brothers *shrug*), weird phenomena that couldn’t possibly happen in real life (e.g., giant tidal waves suspended right on the edge of the beach), and series of events that don’t make sense but, at the same time, do. Of course it’d be really difficult to give reason to craziness as our minds do when we’re sleeping, so of course the story can’t be complete mayhem, but it has to be weird enough to where what you’re reading feels like a dream. I think it might be more difficult than it seems, but it’ll TOTALLY be worth it when we’re done!!
