*swoops in*
I am late. XD
1. What do you write?
I write… everything? My main genre is fantasy, but I also write contemporary fantasy, contemporary fiction, sci-fi, futuristic, dystopian, speculative, romance(though it’s not just a romance), mystery…. pretty much everything but hi-fi, horror, and thrillers.
But if you’re asking what I’m writing right now, it’s a high fantasy novel. It could be labeled as Christian Fantasy, but I’m not going to market it as that so I might as well not. XD
2. Do you have a synopsis?
I do! *rummages through cyberspace*
Ah! Here it is.
Kirin is a slave in the land of Westrim Earth, when the his king is suddenly assassinated and the nation taken over by a ruthless wolf-captain in search of a rebel stronghold. Forced to flee with a small group of traders and rebels, Kirin heads for the very rebel stronghold the captain searches for to warn them of their plight. But when it is revealed that enemies stand among them and he himself might be a greater threat to the captain than the entire rebel army, Kirin leaps at the chance to gain recognition and power by killing the captain that has taken over his land and threatened his people–Captain Shadow Von Wolfsbane, the prince of Nagaria and leader of the wolf-riders.
Joined by a mercenary going by the name of Jax and a pirate girl who’s fierce determination to destroy the empire who massacred her nation almost outshines Kirin’s own determination to defeat the wolf-captain and his army, Kirin tales the prince to Southrim Earth. But what they find there is not just an empire–but a nation built on the bones of innocents and guarded by wraiths calling themselves the Valr. When they are discovered, they are forced to run hounded by the wolf-prince of the north and dark mage of the south. War is brewing, ties are changing, and alliances are breaking. When all-out rampage breaks loose between the rebels and the empire, Kirin knows it will be a massacre. But the only way he can stop it is a to give up the thing that can give him the power and control he longs for over his fate, and Kirin is not giving up his hope.
There. My rather sloppy blurb/summary thing.
3. What is your pet peeve related to writing?
Em…. you’re asking me to pick one? I don’t think that’s possible… I’ll just go with my top five.
Strong female character, broody male characters, generic chosen one tropes, generic fantasy worlds, and finally….
Female MCs.
Yeah, I know, all of you are going ask why…. well, a lot of times female MCs are really emotional, and whiny, and irritating to me…. or they’re dry, sarcastic, and almost abusive towards their friends in the attempt of being strong. I don’t mind reading them, and I’ve read quite a few good ones. But the bad ones…. ugh. I hate them.
4. Who is your favorite author(s)?
Tolkien, Lloyd Alexander, Paolini, Brandon Sanderson, myself, etc…. (not kidding though. I kind of have to enjoy my own stories to want to write them….)
5. Do you have a dog?
My brother has a dog… I have five cats and two horses. XD I’m not a dog person usually. (Which is funny, considering I work with dogs every other weekend…)
6. Have you ever fainted?
*cough*
No, actually. I’ve come really close…. twice? I almost passed out once when I stood up to fast with a really bad stomach flu… and then I also almost passed out from…. well, anxiety. Not fun….. so… yeah. I haven’t fainted yet.
