I’m kinda late to the party, but I finally arrived!

So I had this idea. (Yes, you should be very afraid now.) Bouncing off of what @rolena-hatfield and @scribbles said about drawing out the emotions of anxiety, the time to rise up, and war, we could use the point of view of a veteran soldier/officer (I’m thinking in a classic medieval setting) reflecting on the many battles he’s fought in at sunset. At the same time, his army is mobilizing for a war they can’t win. As the sun sinks in the sky and darkness sets in, he can’t help feeling a sense of forboding and hopelessness. However, he also notes that even after the sun has set, it leaves behind a remnent of  light in the sky that simply refuses to fade. (That sounds a little confusing. If you stay outside after a sunset, it still takes the sky a little while to get super dark. That’s what he’s seeing.) So even though the war is hopeless, he knows the cause he’s fighting for is right, or some other semi-hopeful interpretation. Hey, random idea that just popped into my head: the soldier could be an Israelite and we could pick a battle/war in the Bible to base it off of.

Well, there’s my creativity dump. Feel free to pick it apart and keep the bits you all like, if there are any. I’m going to sleep now. Zzzzzzz…
