Character voice is actually kind of a struggle for me. I have probably basically a total of five different ones: Normal person; sarcastic, kind of indifferent person; the villain; the devious one; the helpful one. That actually probably isn’t it, but when I write in their voice, it’s usually ‘what I would do if I was every single person and object’, which, I am, because it’s my world.

But in reality, after worrying about all that (and scrolling up to look at your post again) I think that I just automatically have a general idea of my character, and what he’s like, and then the pen flows and I just kinda add in a few tweaks.

But usually I only use narrative voice, and my narration is rather objective and detatched from the character thoughts, especially if I’m switching POVs often. And that’s all I can say for now.
